The Assessment of Turkey’s Vulnerability to Disasters and Hazards with IDB Indicator System

The aim of this study is to determine vulnerabilitiy and catascrophic indexes the provinces Turkey current situation deficiencies these against disasters guide decision makers.
 was prepared with a semi-numerical method scope all our country. covers period 2015-2017 it has been applied Turkey. Prevalent Vulnerability Index (PVI) consists 24 sub-factors index value between 0 1. 
 first four highest average for are Şanlıurfa, Şırnak, Mardin Diyarbakır. lowest were Giresun, Trabzon, Artvin Rize. In addition, 40.74% in high vulnerability category, while 59.26% middle category. There no low category.
 As result, seen that country not at desired level terms international arena, remarkable national context, less developed regions or worse position than other vulnerability.
